Logistic Department
Zhejiang Rong-Da Education Development Group is a logistics enterprise affiliated to Zhejiang University of Technology. The company is devoted to the arrangement of the students¨ daily lives and the development of logistic facilities to meet the logistic requirements of higher education. The business scope covers catering, accommodation, commerce, reception, building & maintenance, property management, nursing education, health care, landscaping, and construction & decoration, etc. The company consists of 9 economic entities and management sections, with more than 1,700 staff members.
During the transformation from planning economic mechanism to market economic mechanism and the process of establishing new cross-campus logistics system, the company makes much effort to implement modern corporate system and flexible management system, which has brought about economic and social benefits and improved the logistics capability of the company noticeably. As a result, it has been certified ISO 9000 quality management system and HACCP management system of food safety. At present, the company provides services for some 30 thousand people in three campuses.
I. Catering Service
There are altogether five dining halls in the three campuses, with 289 cooks, 14 of whom are superior chefs or pastry chefs. The prices of dishes are reasonably fixed at different levels to satisfy different needs of the students. Strict measures such as health registration, dishware disinfection and dish sampling are taken to ensure food safety.
II. Accommodation Service
There are altogether 56 dormitory buildings (23 in Zhaohui campus, 22 in Pingfeng campus and 11 in Zhijiang campus) in three campuses. Taking ＾politeness, cleanness, safety and order￣ as the goal and ＾hotel standards￣ as the criteria, the company tries every means to provide a comfortable living environment for students. Meanwhile, a management panel made up of student advisors is also functioning to guide the students in their self-service, self-education and self-management.
III. Medical Service
The university hospital is a multifunctional institution providing basic medical treatment, prevention & health care and health education. Covering a total floorage of 2,500 m2, it consists of an out-patient department building in Zhaohui campus and a clinic in Pingfeng campus. Among the 45 staff members, 39 are health technical personnel. One is of senior professional title, 6 of intermediate professional title and 21 of mid professional title. The hospital takes such responsibilities as medical service, health check, health education and popularization of medical knowledge.
