Work-for-Study Center

Work-for-Study Center serves as an institution for organizing and administrating students¡¯ work-for-study activities, with the aim of increasing students¡¯ contact with the society and expanding their experience to serve better for the society. The center consists of seven sub-divisions, namely, Office of Director, Promotion Section, Network Section, Human Resource Section, Section of Student Right Protection, Section of Social Activities and New Vision Workshop.
Ever since its foundation in the year of 1994, Work-for-Study Center has been providing students with a great deal of practice opportunities. Other than the regular work of finding job vacancies, the center also organizes some characteristic activities, such as the followings: (1) part-time job fair (arranged before the summer vacation and the winter vacation to better students¡¯ financial statuses and provide practice opportunities for students); (2) school-home village (a warm and comfortable home for students who, of their own accord, stay on campus during the Spring Festival); (3) closed-training (called as ¡°the Huangpu Military Academy¡± in ZJUT as it trains many student leaders annually).

Student Union

Representing the interests of undergraduates and vocational students, Student Union of ZJUT is a member unit of the All-China Students¡¯ Federation and enjoys the vice chairmanship in Zhejiang Students¡¯ Federation.
Sticking to the concept of ¡°trying my best for you¡±, student union is dedicated to unite the students and guide students in their self-management, self-education and self-service. Like a bridge, it coordinates the student affairs of different campuses and colleges, aiming at protecting students¡¯ rights, carrying out colorful activities and accelerating students¡¯ comprehensive development.
In recent years, the union has carried out some popular activities welcomed by students. Such interactive activities as ¡°my favorite teacher¡± and ¡°moves ZUT¡± votes evoke much enthusiasm among teachers and students. More than the improvements of teachers¡¯ teaching methods and students¡¯ self-concepts, these two activities help promote the harmonious relationship between teachers and students. In addition, a series of activities such as ¡°Horizontal and Vertical Cup Debate Contest¡±, ¡°Campus Top 10 singers¡±, ¡°Eaglet Cup Speech Contest for Freshmen¡± have already become the leading cultural atmosphere in the campus and will continue to exhibit the youth and vigor of contemporary university students.
