Key Laboratories
1. STATE KEY LABORATORY BREEDING BASE OF GREEN CHEMISTRY SYNTHESIS TECHNOLOGY
Proposed by both the ministry and the province, the State Key Laboratory Breeding Base of Green Chemistry Synthesis Technology was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology on January 3rd, 2003. The base is developed from Zhejiang Key Laboratory of Green Chemistry Synthesis Technology, covering three provincial top disciplines of Applied Chemistry, Industrial Catalysis and Biochemical Engineering. Currently, there are 1 post-doctoral mobile station of Chemical Engineering & Technology, 2 doctoral programs of Industrial Catalysis and Biochemical Engineering, 4 master¨s programs of Applied Chemistry, Industrial Catalysis, Biochemical Engineering and Chemical Engineering, and 1 Chemical Engineering Master¨s Program. The research orientations are on Green Electrical Chemistry Synthesis Technology, Green Organic Synthesis Technology, Catalysis Technology, New Catalysis Material, Biology Synthesis Technology, and New Separation Technology. In terms of personnel, there are more than 30 research members in the base, including one member of Chinese Academy of Science, two provincial special experts, 28 professors. Viewed from another aspect, there are 4 state-level experts, 7 province-level young or middle-aged experts, 8 young or middle-aged provincial discipline leaders, and 8 are on the list of Zhejiang ^151 ̄ Talents Project. Among them, 20 hold doctor¨s degree, 5 master¨s degree, and 13 are supervisors of doctoral candidates. The base occupies a floor space of 5,000 m2, with the total value of its instruments and equipments about 50 million RMB.
In recent five years, the Breeding Base has undertaken 33 state-level projects, 74 province-level or ministry-level projects, and over 10 projects of industrialized production. Its longitudinal research fund reaches 37.486 million RMB and horizontal research fund 45.813 million RMB. The base has won 2 national awards for scientific and technological progress, and 26 scientific and technological achievement awards of province and the Ministry, of which 9 are first awards, 9 second awards and 4 third awards. Over 630 academic papers are published in the national or international publications, of which over 150 are included in SCI and EI. 15 monographs and text-books are published. The base has been granted 21 patents, of which 6 are international patents. Much cooperation is performed with enterprises in Zhejiang and other provinces. Fifty new technologies in medicine and chemical engineering have been industrialized, bringing about considerable economic and social benefits with an annual output value of 1.5 billion RMB and indirect economic benefit of over 20 billion RMB.
