　　主讲人简介：
　　宫锋，博士，现任美国迈阿密大学米勒医学院生化与分子生物学副教授，承担美国国家健康研究所(NIH) $1.8 million资助项目，R01 ES017784课题组负责人，担任Nature自然杂志迈阿密会议组委会委员。担任包括《Methods》特邀主编和《Nature Structural & Molecular Biology》、《PNAS》、《Journal of Biological Chemistry》多家国际著名杂志审稿编委。承担迈阿密大学米勒医学院医学生、硕士博士生分子生物学和生化课程的教学。在中国科学院上海植物生理研究所取得博士学位后，曾在美国斯坦福大学生物医学系从事博士后研究。在重要学术刊物包括Science, Nature Structure & Molecular Biology，美国科学院院刊PNAS、JBC等杂志发表学术论文30余篇。
    
　　讲座摘要：
　　Maintenance of genomic integrity is of fundamental importance to all living organisms. Defects in DNA repair are found in human diseases associated with increased cancer frequency. Damage sensing proteins and DNA repair enzymes must deal with the highly compact and dynamic structure of chromatin. Dr. Gong’s research focus is to understand how DNA repair pathways operate in chromatin to remove DNA lesions. Recently, Dr. Gong’s group has found evidence that the SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complex plays an important role to facilitate NER. Several subunits of the human SWI/SNF complex are encoded by tumor suppressor genes.
